What is the Digital Marketing Learnership?

As an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, 2U South Africa has collaborated with Red and Yellow Creative School of Business to bring you a Digital Marketing Learnership, which provides 15 young South Africans with an exciting opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of digital marketing, upskill themselves and kick start their careers in Digital Marketing.

If you’re based in Cape Town and have an interest in learning more about digital marketing, this is a great opportunity for you. Not only will you gain valuable work experience at a mission-driven global organisation, you’ll also be able to study towards a Red and Yellow Digital Marketing qualification whilst earning a monthly salary.

Yes, currently all 2U employees are working remotely due to COVID-19 workplace restrictions.

After you have applied, your application will be screened by the team at The Knowledge Trust. If you meet the base criteria and pass the assessments, you’ll be notified via email, WhatsApp or SMS and invited to partake in round 2 of the application process. We will communicate with all unsuccessful applicants on or before Friday the 26th of March.

During your 12 month programme, you’ll be studying towards a Red & Yellow Digital Marketing NQF-level 5 qualification. You can learn more about the course breakdown in the section below.


Module 1: Introduction to Marketing

You’ll be introduced to core marketing concepts, shown the importance of the customer to business decision making in the 21st century and learn how to best present and communicate your ideas.

Module 2: Marketing Communications

Explore the online revolution and the digital channels now available to marketers. You’ll also be shown how to use and leverage digital marketing channels.

Module 3: Client Services

Learn how to plan effective campaigns across paid media channels. Understand how to establish and manage client and agency relationships and how to negotiate and contract with suppliers for campaigns and projects.

Module 4: Planning and Control

Develop your ability to optimise campaigns effectively and efficiently by understanding the essentials of project management and basic financial management.
