This course is developed and endorsed by Bettercare, and is designed to help parents understand what to expect in the first few weeks after their baby is born. The course will take learners through the routine management of normal babies, and the common problems that may occur after birth. The course includes the care provided immediately after delivery and then addresses the home care and feeding of newborn babies. Finally, the course will describe some clinical problems that parents need to know about. The course aims to provide the knowledge and understanding of basic newborn care required to help both parents and those soon to be parents.
