The Diploma in Animation aims to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform effectively in the animation, animated visual effects and visual art production industries.
The purpose of the qualification is to provide students with the relevant academic exposure, practical skills and professional attitudes as is appropriate to this market area.
On successful completion of the programme, graduates will be able to seek careers in freelance, contract or permanent staff within commercial companies of varying sizes. The graduates will have the competencies to perform animation and work relating to animation within various fields including but not exclusive to; drawn animation, stop-frame puppetry fabrication and animation, 3D computer animation, pre-production for film and post-production for film.
