 ASSIGNMENTS & RESEARCH Students are required to complete a certain number of case studies in each of the treatments covered in their course, in addition to a number of assignments and research projects.

 EXAMINATIONS & ASSESSMENTS
Continuous assessments are conducted throughout the training and the final assessment is conducted on completion of a programme to establish the competency of each student. Practical and Theory assessments are conducted in accordance with National and International requirements.

3rd Year Programme:
Our 3rd Year Course is a tailor-made programme specific to the Student’s chosen area of expertise. The Timetable will be based on the Courses enrolled for and the structure of the 3rd Year is to encourage the Student to think independently.

  2. Advanced Aesthetics in Skincare
    2.1 Module A : Theory related to the Industry & Electrolysis
    The Theory related to Advanced Skincare & Body Treatments using Aesthetic Methods available in the market:
     Advanced Skincare and Beauty Culture
     Epilation
     Botox & Dermal Fillers
     Skin Sensitivity & Acne
     Microdermabrasion, Laser & IPL
     Skincare Peels, Dermarollers / Microneedling
     Practical training in Electrolysis – an original system in hair removal – effective in creating an understanding of currents and working with pin-point precision before moving onto the advanced laser techniques. This uses needle and electrical currents to destroy the hair follicle.
    2.2 Module B : Professional Advanced Aesthetic Treatments
     Facial Treatments with the use of Professional Advanced Skincare Products to treat Ageing, Acne, Sensitivity & other skin conditions with the use of: Advanced Chemical Peels to treat various skin conditions. DermaRollers / Microneedling Microdermabrasion Demaplaning demonstrations are available but training is additional.

     IPL } Hair Removal; Skin Rejuvenation; Treatment of Pigmentation, spider veins, acne & scarring
     Radio Frequency } to treat ageing, skin tightening & vaginal tightening

Skills & Requirements

A personal interview is recommended NQF Level 5 qualification requires a minimum NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification, requires a minimum NQF Level 5 Applicants with less than the level 4 qualification, may only register for part time / short courses & modules Foreign applicants are required to obtain the legal Study Permit from the appropriate South African authority Subjects: Life Sciences (Biology) or Physical Sciences (Science) is recommended, but not essential RPL (recognition of prior learning) is in place at the College.
