This course is aimed at teaching the basic requirements of a start-up business. The focus will be on understanding how a business operates – what value it aims to deliver, and what is required to get it up and running. This in turn will help explain the basics of a “business model”. Once we have a business model, we can understand how it operates, and what is required keep it running. The concept of a business canvas is also introduced to help break up a business into its basic building blocks: the infrastructure required, the customers you hope to attract, and the finances you will need to run the business at a profit.
