Who is Groote Schuur Hospital Trust?
The Groot Schuur Hospital Trust works in collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that the hospital meets the needs of the community it serves while maintaining a world-class reputation and facilities. They coordinate fundraising activities to supplement the allocated budgets in ensuring that the hospital can create a positive impact in the medical community and deliver world-class medical care simultaneously.
Objectives:
To work within the Trust’s Fundraising Team taking responsibility for the team’s administration and engaging with new and existing supporters to ensure they receive the appropriate level of donor care needed to maximise their fundraising contribution.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Diploma or degree desirable
- Demonstrable experience within an Administrator role is essential
- High degree of competence in Microsoft Office is essential
- Exposure to CRMs desirable
- Knowledge and experience engaging with social media channels desirable
- High degree of autonomy and initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating fundraising meetings and taking minutes
- Providing accurate and efficient processing and acknowledgement of donations
- Providing support at key events in our calendar
- Maintaining the supporter database, ensuring supporter’s details are accurately updated
- Ensuring all income is captured correctly and forwarded to finance
- Assisting the fundraising team to monitor fundraising communications
- Replying to fundraising queries where necessary by email, telephone and post
- Compiling and sending out fundraising materials on behalf of the team
- Regularly updating fundraising website and coordinating regular social media posts
- Research and communication for any new fundraising projects that are taken on
